B7 to Z6 swap. Map sensor?
Well I have swapped a Z6 before in my Dx, but I was younger at the time and never did the work. I put a B7 back in a year ago and the map sensor was on the firewall like it should be with the vac. lines running to it. Well I ha a like new Z6 going back in the Dx (to many swaps to keep count
) So as we all know the Z6 has the map sensor on top of the throttle body and not the firewall. So the map is on the chassis for the dx. Does the map sensor on the Z6 plug into the same connection or is it on the engine harness? Can someone help me as to how I go about hooking up the map sensor on a Z6 in a Dx?

Not true, I used a z6 harness and used the remaining dx harness.
You take the plug from the map sensor on the firewall and plug it into the map sensor on the throttle body,

I get it now. Since the Dx has the map sensor wired through the firewall to the ecu and not the engine harness. I have a full si engine harness that will be used, but I wasn't sure which one I use to plug the map sensor into. So I will leave the engine harness one unplugged and plug in the firewall mounted map sensor plug. Do they both have to be connected? If not, did you just tape it out of the way. I am pretty sure I understand what your saying and I thank you for the much needed help

Only have the Z6 map sensor hooked up. Either that, or run the vacuum lines from the firewall map sensor to the manifold. Both should work the same, but I'd use the Z6 map - it looks weird having that sensor not connected.

O.K. Yeah I was going to hook up the Z6 map sensor seeing as I rebuilt the intake manny from scratch. Thanks for the help
