Might be selling my car.. What is it worth???
Stats:
01 PY ITR
62k miles
AEM CAI, Apexi N1 exhaust, Red Sparco Torino seats, JDM shift boot, and OEM ITR floormats.
Paint is still shiny except for some paint damage on the front lip and bumper.
The car has a salvaged title (accident) but there is NOTHING wrong with the car. I just had the 60k mile service on it and now I might be selling the car. Techs at Acura say that nothing is wrong with the engine and everything is running smoothly. What would be a good price for it. I'm trying to get at least 14.5k. Sorry no pics.

The accident was minor and only the front bumper was replaced from my understanding. The car was checked out at several body shops and at Acura and they could not find any damage. I have had the car for over 2 years and have had ZERO problems with it.
the mods are not worth anything when you sell your car. As a matter of fact, your mods actually bring down the resale value of your car. The salvage title also doesn't help. 14.5k is definitely too high. I'm selling my car for 16,900 with 48,000 miles. It also happens to be a clean title too. The only downfall is I have too many mods on my car and it's somewhat difficult to sell unless I stumble upon the right buyer.
In my area there are no ITR's and i'm sure someone will buy it for a reasonable price I hope. The car shouldn't have a salvaged title but it does. Kinda long story but I spoke to the police department that took the report and they gave me all the info.

There are no ITR's anywhere, I never see them. If only your bumper had to be replaced why did they salvage the car? Do you know the number of the car? That vehicle had sustain a decent amount of damage or alot of stolen goods to be considered salvage. Think about it...... I cant speak for anyone else but I would never believe an insurance company salvaged a car for a front bumper.

You can ask that. You might not get it, but it's a good place to start.
In your part of the world, the key will probably be to sell the car to somebody who's actually shown up to drive it and looked for the repair work, so he knows that it's fine.
If you can wait until October, there will be a lot of ITR people and fans of the ITR at Carolina Motorsports Park for an ITR expo-like driving event.

they dont salvage a car for a bumper
for a car to become salvaged, there needs to be at least 50% of the car value dmged in some way
in some states it is 80% of the cars value needs to be dmged or repaired
usually its 80%
which means on an 01, the car would have had to had over 10k in dmg
details plz
unless the car was sold to an auction, instead of repaired or something, i dont know

Carfax report stated that there was airbag deployment and the car was in a fender bender where the front bumper and I believe on of the tires was damaged. I am the 4th owner of this vehicle so I dont' really know everything in detail about it's history. All the VIN#'s match up all over the car so I don't really know where else to look. I know about the meet up at Carolina Motorports and I would like to bring it up there so you other ITR guys could look at it. Thanks for all the input. BTW the replacement for my car is going to be a 04 s2k if I can sell this thing.
