need some advice
Ok well heres my situation, I own a black 94 honda civic dx D15B7 coupe, heres a pic

the thing is... its very slow, theres no VTEC, all i got is a exhaust and a intake... and i got some 17" rims which slow it down more...
from here i dont know if i should work on the engine... or do the body work because it really dented up and scratched up... i went to a body shop and their estimate was 1200$ for all the body work, im sure i could cut it down if i did some of the body work myself but i could also try and do a mini me swap... or just save up the whole winter and do nothing and just get an engine swap next year but im not really patient... i was thinking about selling my rims for 650$ and buying some si rims or something or run on my stock ones for a while so i would have money for the body work?... i dont know if anyone else has been in the same situation to choose between performance and appearence...
anyone that has been in this situation, please tell me your story and explain how it turned out
thanks in advance

Don't do a mini-me swap it's a waste of time and health
Save up and throw in a b18b into the car and it will give you much more power then your current motor. Get some nice 15" rims that are light and you'll have a pretty quick car(with the mods done so far)
You can have performance and style but if you don't slap on massive weight your car will still go with a swap.
Get a lip, nice drop, nice wheels and that will start it off nicely

drop it, lose the 17s(more rotational mass which make a BIG difference, they look sweet just make a diff.) and go down to a 16 max, and get a b18 and turbo that bitch

O.K. time to bring some order to chaos. First off, that car looks hiddeous with those wheels and no drop. Sell the wheels, if you can get $650, that's perfect, take that money and buy a D16Z6. You should be able to get a z6 for about 350-400 locally, use the spare money and do a little maintanence (headgasket, water pump, timing belt, tensioner), or at the least have it inspected by a shop. Then drop that in, wire up your vtec and start peicing together a turbo kit over the winter. When the snow thaws, slap on the turbo and buy some new tires. You will thank me for this one day.
I did similar stuff when I first got my sedan, got wheels, some gauty lights, intake, exhaust, and a big stereo system, but I realized, my **** is still weaksauce. I removed all the crap I had on it and sold it, used that money for a motor build (still in progress), some phat suspension, and a turbo kit not to mention all the other drivetrain stuff I've done. Now my car looks totally stock except for being dropped, and it hauls ******* ***.
