I recently failed for emissions, 3% carbon monoxide instead of 1%
I know my car runs rich and I know an air/fuel guage is pretty worthless.
After running a second slower at the track than I should be, I did a compression test.
180-230-235-240
Theory: Because of bad compression, the leftover fuel that should be burning in Cylinder #1 is going out the exhaust, therefore spiking my carbon monoxide and failing me.
Any thoughts? Ideas? I gotta swap in a clean sohc in my crx before the end of the month and I'm hoping this will solve my problem.
