what do i need to run a 4x114 +30 wheel safely?
here goes; my DA is 4x100, and I plan on purchasing a set of 15 in 4x114 wheels with a +30 offset. I looked on wheelchoice and see that they have hub adapters for $325 a set, but the guy i talked to said that i might have to shave my original studs off, and also roll my fenders. He also said that the adapters are 10 mm thick, which would make the wheels +20
Is getting the 96 spec ITR setup easier/cheaper? i realize i might have to roll my fenders either way, and i plan on slamming my car pretty low if/when i get these wheels on
anyone with experience help me out please! TIA

errr you have it back words, the adapter well pring the offset to +40 which is pretty normal for hondas.
and what you would have to do is, simply buy 4x114.3 hubs, that fit into your spindels. The spindel from the DC will give you funky alginments.

damn, the guy from wheelchoice said it would end up to be a +20 offset! but kewl, i would just need 4x114.3 hubs? if the DC spindels will give me problems, do you know what would fit my DA without trouble?

thats imposible, go to tirerack.com and look at there explanation of offset, once you understand offset you will discover that by adding something between the wheel and the rotor, you increase your offset.
What size brakes are on the car right now?
if it is something in the 9.xx inch range then you will need to find a hub from a 1992-1997 prelude, or 1990-1997 accord that had 4x114.3, and came with brakes in the size that you have.
if its 10.2 inchs then you can purchase hubs from a 1992-1997 prelude vtec and run the 11.1 inch brakes.
something that really comes in handy when doing stuff like this is one of those part books that auto stores have that list all the part numbers for these type of parts.

ok then you should be able to by a hub from a prelude 1992-1997, and wheel beering, along with new rotors for that same hub and it should work. you might have to use the caliper from that car too, im not sure i never have done any brake mods to a DA
sweet. thanks mang. now;
-can i use the prelude brakes all around, and also, would it be easier to find the 96 itr setup?
-since it is a low offset (+30) do you think there will be any rubbing problems?/ dont 4x114 conversions tend to stick out more?
thanks for the help, i just want to make sure i do it right

yeah cause there are always complications when you try and put brakes from a different modle car.
well to me it would be the easiest option cause i have access to a machine shop at my school

i have no clue about the spindles, but just to clarify, spacers will reduce positive offset. So a 10mm spacer will make a +30 into a +20 like the guy said.
not sure if this will fit on your DA though.

ok, so now my question is.. will these wheels stick out hideously even with the prelude brakes? will it even look right? I have seen a DA on +20 in enkei92's, but i am wondering if the wheels i am planning to run will look rediculous on my car bc they stick out so much
