I`m running obd2 to obd1 harness and a stock p28.

I only got a 02 heater sensor code, and the engine wont rev over 5000.
I dont think that code will make the engine rev like that .... could it be somethin else ? Anyone had this prob before ?

did u chipped already your ecu? because if not, that's why.

 

No ecu is stock.

U mean its that code that makes the ecu go in limp mode ?

 

im assuming its a b series,just had the same problem,read the code again,are you sure its not the vtec pressure switch?your oil could just be low,or the screen near the pressure switch could be clogged or just a bad switch.good luck

 

eyy, i just solved the same friking problem, and my case was behind the manifold, theres a solenoid plug and a sensor plug, i had those in wrong places, the plugs looks the same, but you have to check the wires colors. if the ecu is not recognizing the sensors in the right place, thats why the ecu don't let u passs over 5000 rpm's. its like a protection code for malfunction in sensors. anyways u have to check those wires behind the manifold, and try another ecu chipped.

 

wot sensors ? can u specify ?
If that was the case though wouldnt the ecu throw the sensor codes ?

i`m only getting an o2 heater code, thats all.
Everthing seems in place. Btw.. mine`s a D series motor.
