DPFI ---> MPFI conversion stupidity outcome..
Ok.. here's a recap of our DX -> SI motor swap.
I had all the wiring done, the timing belt was aligned outside the bay, and was dead on. and we couldn't figure what the problem was.

That's the link to cry for help last week. We figured out the IAT was good, and we figured out why #1 and #2 weren't getting any fuel. Duh!..
When I went to re-wire the ECU harness side, I'd unplugged the PM6 ecu and put it aside. Well, it was late when I finished the wiring and plugged the PM5 back in instead. I don't know how I didn't realize that, but we'd been trouble shooting with the wrong ECU all this dayem time. The timing was horrible, engine idle was terrible, and we couldn't rev over 3000Rpm..
We called Charlie Moua over.. and I said something about a PM5.. and he said.. "that's not the A6 ecu......" I'm like.. "What!?" Well, duh!
We got the correct PM6 ECU plugged in and voila! Motor runs fine, idles a little rough, but started right up. NO CEL codes!! The timing was tuned in this morning, but the TPS is bad so we're just gonna have to change that out this week.. no biggie.. !!.
Thought I'd share with you a little stupidity.. on my part!

Good catch.
When ever I get an ECU I always write on the top of it with a sharpie the year/make/model/engine/tranny just to avoid similar confusion.

he did.. he wrote.. "original civic ecu" WTF? yeah.. that's what I said too!.. but I should have known to check the numbers on the side!!..
it really wasn't that hard to re-wire.. it's just a bitch when you use the wrong ecu to start the car.. LOL..

lol, don't you hate that?
I did something like that this weekend. I was installing an alarm and forgot to put the fuse back in and went to test it out and no go from the alarm. I was thinkning, " Gee, system is getting no power??" and then it hit me, went in my back pocket and got the fuse and plugged it in and beep, beep.
