Default clutch master cylinder bleeding...need a couple details

1994 honda del sol vtec

new master cylinder, and slave cylinder just installed.

do i need to loosen anything on the nipple of the slave cylinder? or just the 10mm nut to hold on the hydraulic pipe? then i connect a hose to the nipple and make sure fluid runs through solid, correct?

i also have had a couple people tell me differant methods-tell me the correct way--::

do i have someone:

get in, press the clutch in, hold, i release 10mm nut, clutch drops pressure, then i tighten 10mm nut and the person pumps it until resistance is achieved?

thanks in adavance guys! im waiting on response to finish project right now, quick answer would fuggin own. peace

Lather, rinse, repeat. You'll have to pull the pedal off the floor with your hand, do not be alarmed.

Loop some string around the pedal to pull it up while you keep your foot on it so it lifts smoothly. Don't let it snap suddenly up, sometimes that pulls air in thru the MC shaft seal.

here is the easiest way to do it, take some vaccum line put it on the bleader valve put hte othe end in a bottle or cup that has brake fluid in it.make sure the line reaches all most to the bottom open the bleader up mash the pedal until you get pressure keep doing it until you feel its enough.then close the bleeder valve off.See what its doing is bleeding out all the air and sucking back in fluid, so you will not get any air back in the line.Simple as that.

i you don't have fluid for it to suck back in, sometimes it takes a long time to bleed it, so yes that could be why its hasnt worked yet

Wait, you were trying to bleed the clutch without any fluid in the reservoir?

no he has fluid in the reservoir, he is talking about fluid in the cup that you put under the slave cylinder, with the vacuum line going to it, its so when he blleds it and it sucks back in, it will suck fluid back in the slave cylinder and only let air out.

I figured Jim Blake would chime in about bench bleeding, although most people at home can't/find it hader to do that.

Is this done with one person? confused, I have bleed my system before with the fluid in the cup method but, I always have someone pump the clutch hold it while I release the bleeder nut and tighten quickly before the pedal can reach the floor. I just repeat this method until satisfied with the pressure. Does the method you mentioned only need one person. Where you place fluid in the cup with hose, open valve and then just pump away slowy no closing of the valve until firm pressure. Just want to make sure I've done this correctly. I know there are different methods and if I don't need to wait for help when doing this that would be great. If both methods are correct is one better then the other? Thanks for clearing this up in advance.
