Default Tire noise? or what?

Very noisy inside. Took it to a muffler shop and they could not find defect/holes in the muffler. There is NO noise when revving the engine. It is only noisy inside the cabin when car is moving. There is no noise when car is going fast and steering to the right. The noise is coming from the rear, passenger side. What could be causing the noise? Could the tire be making the loud noise?

very good chance its a wheel bearing, lift the tire up with a jack closest to the noise and spin it. If the bearing is bad you'll hear it! Is the noise sort of a howling? The fact that it goes away when you turn points to a bearing, as its being loaded and unloaded turning.

ditto... a good way to tell is:

a.) does it get louder/higher pitched the faster you go?

b.) does it go away when you turn hard to one direction or the other?

if a.) and b.) are satisfied, then it's a wheel bearing and you'll know which one

it is a 94 si. The noise is like a loud muffler but only inside the car and while the car is moving. Even noisier in the freeway. Thanks BlackLudeSi for the wheel bearing tip. I'll try it after work.

Thanks. BlackLudeSi and Sober_John, you are right. The noise IS caused by the wheel bearing. Thank you Now I'll search for wheel bearing, removal and installation. Again thanks.
