I just blew my b18b in my autocross EF racer. Now need to replace the motor. Insteal of swapping back the b18b in, I can possibly use a higher power engine and still be in the same group, because of engine and tranny swaping or non-oe matched eng and tranny costs me points. Currently im running a b18b with 142 hp at the wheels and 124 lb torque with a civic sir tranny w/lsd.

My question is which engines come with lsd stock and whats their power and torque ratings? Also which, if any, GSR motors come with lsd stock (or as an "option")(also i need to know which exact engine and tranny codes they are). if there was/is that possiblity, then which would be better, that engine (GSR with lsd) or the b16 civic sir with the lsd.

To make life simpler, let me put it this way. Which engine would be the best way to go to get 170 whp (and which would make the MOST torque) with an lsd (do keep in mind cost of the engine and cost of mods inorder to get up there)?

170 hp at the crank not the wheel..is what they come with...

th eonly gsr motor that u might find with lsd tranny..will be a jdm one..
b18c..some came optional with lsd..like one that i have...and some didn't...

u can always get usdm gsr and itr tranny..which r lsd..all of them...
usdm gsr is b18c1
usdm itr is b18c5
those r the engine codes i'm not sure about the tranny..
for the gsr i think its y21...
