Default Anyone got reviews on Yokohama Avid H4S?

Looking to get something that lasts longer than the Parada spec-2s I've been using. Any input would be appreciated. I do alot of commuting so that's why the longer life is important.

I read the reviews on Tirerack and they seemed favorable. So I ordered a set today.

So where are you going to get them mounted and how much will that cost?

Wow that's weird, you're in Livermore and that's where I moved from...and we want the same tires.
Anyways, Im getting them mounted at some place locally that Tirerack recommends. The average prices are 20-40 (depending on aspect ratio) per tire, plus disposal, valve stems, etc. so it'll be about 100$ for the whole shebang, plus the 244$ for the tires.
I had the Yoko Avid H4 's before and I really liked those, they gripped decently for a all season tire, and worked well overall, so these should be just as good, hopefullly better.

You have 14" rims? It costs $362 w/shipping to get a set for 17" rims!

I have them for commuting to and from the track and absolutely love them. I haven't driven them hard, but they're a great everyday tire.

yea, just got them installed today, and they feel great. although, I was riding on old, cracked, balding tires before so...a grain of salt. But they ride very smooth and have little to no road noise (haven't driven on the ...freeway yet...), and just feel good all-around.

i had a set on my old civic for a while. for what they are meant for, they are good. obviously not amazing grip etc, but they are quiet, had pretty good tread life, and they are pretty good dry traction for an all season, and good in the rain too. overall id say its a good tire for the price if youre going to be commuting.
