What is the biggest engine that can fit into a 1990 honda civic wagon for maximum performance? Suggestions any one ?
if he can't type little letters in a search function then how would he fit a chevy motor in a honda. lol. I
I think a nice 4-bolt Chevy small-block might be right up your alley. You might lose some functionality and fuel economy, but hell, IT'S A 350!!!!!
Honestly??? If you want power and performance and you want this within a reasonable time-frame (several months, let's be honest), invest a little time with either a K-series or H-series. Be prepared to spend MAJOR cash and lots of time fabricating, swearing, cutting, bleeding, re-fabricating, and all that ****.
If you take your time, and be reasonable with what you ask for, you can make anything fit. ****, you might even try for a nice F20 if you think you can
(I wouldn't bet on it, but I have been proven wrong in the past)

I do love that Supercharged V8, makes me wish I still had my Camaro and that wonderful 5-8 mpg fuel economy with a daily driven motor

If you are referrring to the 2wd wagon then you are only limited to what you can afford i.e. a 426 hemi
maybe 2 of em

Since you didn't specify which wagon you have I will assume you have a 2wd civic wagon and not the rt4wd.
D series motors from later models and the jdm market like the dohc zc & sohc zc will swap in easiest
2wd & 4wd
B series motors are a common swap since its ~ swappin into any 4th gen
for 2wd, 4wd ????
H & F series can be done but its alot more difficult judging from whats been posted here on H-T BUT its not impossible. 2wd same as 4th gen swap hint: search 2point2
4wd ??????
K series is the swap of choice if you're bankin, this swap may soon replace the b swap at some point since the introduction of so many swap friendly kits. I'm sure more will follow. This one may be the most expensive of all Honda motors currently due to its recent introduction but as more motors become available the prices may lower. Again same as 4th gen installation, search K series. The 2wd is A++ for this swap option but 4wd is definately uncharted territory to my knowledge.

Hmm, looks like you just created a second post for the same question, nvm
