Help Diagnose this problem
About My setup for Road Racing.
I have a 91 CRX with a B16a1. The engine been in there for a couple years and has ran strong. I have CTR cams and Type R spring setup. I am running a Type R intake and TB with adjustable fuel pressure regulator running about 40-42psi. I have DC sport 4-2-1 header into a hollowed out cat 2 1/4 cat back and a tail pipe with a Supertrap with 8 discs in which I dynoed with more torque that way in March. I am running a Zdyne B16A 1 wire ECU and Zdyne Gold with Venom Python ODB0 B series injectors.
About my problem
The symptoms seam to be a serious lack of power in the 4500 – 6000 RPM range in 3rd-4th-5th gears. The only changes I have made this year are the supertrap and I previous had my coolant lines by passing the throttle body which I reconnected. It seems that the engine comes to life at the end of the straights in the 6000 – 8500 RPM range. I have replaced my dizzy rotor, tried new spark plugs, tried a different computer, re-index cams and timed, and tried different injectors to no avail. The engine revs freely in neutral and the problem only seems to exist under load.
What could this be, I am desperate?
Thanks

My working theory now is that my exaust is too restrictive. I couldn't test this a the last track event because they had a 75db sound restriction.
What do you guys think? Would a too restrictive exaust cause this problem. Also I not sure why it dynoed ok in March but at much cooler tempatures it might not have been a problem.
