Wierd noise from rear when it rains
This is going to sound wierd and I dont really expect anyone to know what it is cause its really hard to describe. I was driving the other day and as soon as it started to down poor, the rear end of my car started makin a wierd kinda like scrapping/chopping noise. It wasnt when the brakes were applied, and it got louder when my rpms got higher. It was def commin from the back right side. It kinda sounds like there was water in the exhaust... as i came to a red light it stopped for a sec but then started again as i was idling in neutral. It almost sounded like the muffler was dragging behind the car when i pulled away... i obviously go out to check, and the exhaust was still sittin tight. Its a 2000 civic ex w/ a b16, tien springs/kyb agx's, greddy evo2 exhaust. If anyone has any idea, or can even throw out a suggestion that would be appreciated. Thanks.
Muffler full of water? Otherwise, could your right rear tire be kicking up water just right so that it hits your muffler? Just a thought.
thats what i thought, but i did it when i was at the light and not moving. Is there anything inside the drum/wheel assmbly that could possibly not be watertight for some reason and make this noise???
