Those are some pretty insanely low prices. I wonder what other costs would be involved in getting the cars over here.
i emailed this guy couple years ago and he stated that all of his listed pricing include shipping to US. The only thing that we'd have to do is somehow get it thru customs.

Mmmmm...check the link now --
They have a NEW 02 integra R for sale -- 100KM on it for $20,900. thats less than a RSX base model here. I bet it would be easier to get into the country than the DC2 ITR as well since the US and JDM ITR front ends are now the same.
Nice

This talks about importing cars less than 25 years old to the U.S. Seems quite time consuming and costly.

Well a friend of mine from japan imported 3 cars from JP a few months ago....
An FD RX7 (personal car)
An S14 Silvia (sell)
And an S13 Silvia (sell)
He got the FD through customs and is driving it right now, but the other 2 are still stuck in customs. Seems that when you try to import more than one car it makes it look like youre a dealer, which he isnt (no dealer's license). The S13 is also being hard to get due to the different front end (need to verify crash worthiness).
I am going to check with him to see what all is involved -- he can get cheap shipping rates as well. Much of the hassle of importing is convincing the car is crashworthy, in which case you have to have a similar US counterpart, which, concerning the ITR, would be the "identical" RSX.

Claim it as salvaged all you want. Tell me how you are going to get it registered at the DMV, then tell me how you are going to get it through DEQ. Then where are you going to a VIN # to insure?
OMG RX7 TYPE R!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh my god $7000!!!! How on earth to I bring that here!?!?!?!?!? You know how much Ive wanted that car!?!?!?!? I need it! thats it! im calling my insurance agent, um sir, how much is insurance on a car that isnt legal in the us?
I was wondering if you could title the car as a constructed car, like a kit car, and get a new vin issued? Or title it with a bond title. I guess it's all moot unless you could get it off the boat and into your possession
