Cleaning under roof run off rubber.

Cleaning the DC this weekend and under detailed inspection I spotted alot of pine needles and gunk under the Roof weather strip. I wanted to clean it but can not access underneath the weather strip.
Does anyone know how to remove this wether strip?

When you say the front you mean closest to the windshield?
Is removal almost the same as removal of the side skirts, where you shift it forward then pull?

Yes. The front slides toward the back of the car, and the rear slides toward the front of the car.
The bracket that hold it in place looks kinda like this:
