Default HElp is needed with EM1

Hey i threw a rod and welded a piston to my cylinder...SO is there any way i can salvage the b16..... possible bore out to 84.5 and sleeve it. or what..

it'd be cheaper to buy a sleeved block and start over.

Pull motor, take appart, buy new sleeves, pistons, rods, install, enjoy.

Well for one im deployed right now so i have alot of time to think about it... and what do you mean pull motor pull apart and install...uhh. ok...thanks for the advice on itll be cheaper to buy whole new setup...

pull motor out of the car, rip it appart, buy the new parts, take the short block (bottom end only, not the head) along with the new parts to a machine shop and have them install everything. Hell, take the head too and have them machine it to make sure it's flat.

Um i think ill stick to buyin all new stuff..but ill put that into concideration and when i get back ill take it to a machine shop for a spare engine....thanks

More power to ya. I just thing that since you're going to have to yank the motor out anyway you might as well build it up to make it stronger. If you're gonna stay non-turbo put some higher compression pistons in to get a few more HP out of it. For the price you're going to pay for a "new" stock motor you can rebuild your old one to be good as new and have more HP.
