Default Eibach Pro Lowered Springs - Alignment?

Just installed the Eibach springs. Now, should I bring it to Honda Dealer for alignment or any alignment shops would be able to it properly.

I don't want to bring it to Honda because I don't want them to know that I am "modding" the car, yet I am hesitant to have alignment shop to do it because the car is new (05 w/1600 miles) and they might not have the alignment specs (I may be wrong)

So, Dealer or Shop?

Thanks

I always use shops for alignments if I don`t have time to do it at the office.

any place should be able to do it for you... just tell them what you're wanting out of the car so they can align it properly.... also wait a week or two before taking it in for an allignment.. make sure the springs are settled...

not only a shop, but a shop that knows what they are doing.

yes, they have the specs, it is in their system - well, current hunter machines that have update subscriptions. otherwise, bring in your own specs.

Please bare with me for all these questions.

I had the springs installed last Sunday 8/14/05. Track day (road course) is this comming Thursday 8/18/05. I am planning to have the alignment (factory specs) done this Wednesday.

1. Do you recommend to have the alignment done before or after the track event?

2. Approximately how much out of specs am I at right now (car lowered 1")?

3. How does it affect the handling with the current condition (ie. not yet align to factory specs)? so that I know what to expect.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

You need to do this BEFORE the track event. It is that important. If you don't, I would skip the track event entirely.

Factory alignment is weak and not too aggressive at all. The only problem that you might have is the amount of camber in the rear might be a bit more aggressive than you want, and if you don't exercise that camber back there, you'll get even more excessive wear than you are bargained for.

Thanks, I will do the alignment prior to the event.

I will just set it back to factory specs since I am new and inexperient with RWD.
