usually what i do is drain the old oil.
then i change the filter.
then i pour the new synthetic oil into the engine.
if that doesnt work i dont know what else coud possibly make it happen.

When people post the correct answer sarcastically, that makes me laugh.

if im a smart *** you are a dumb ***.
i told you exclty how to change your oil from convetnional to synthetic, or from synthetic to conventional or from castor oil to **** water. its an oil change not rocket science. the only difference is what is in teh bottle you pour in.
maybe i should use stupid *** instead of dumb ***.

to clarify, there is no process of mixing synthetic with conventional...in fact, don't do that...just switch 'em...

if you think theres a "process" to change from coventional oil to synthetic, then yes you are a retard

you asked how, and he told you how, deal with it

Depending on the mileage of the motor I would thinking about it first before you switch to synthetic engine oil.

Imo.... if the motor is pretty low mileage... and does not consume oil... you could most likely get away with a switch to synthetic at your next oil change.

However if your motor is like most accord motors... you got some pretty heavy mileage on it using regular oils and whatnot... switching to synthetic is probably not the best in this case. The syn. oil is too slick and will get by the old rings... subsequently the engine will most likely start to use oil (more oil if it already does use some) and you will see smoke out the tailpipe.

I was worried about going to a full synthetic personally, so I run the blend stuff in my turbo accord... I started using this stuff just after I turned 80k miles... I am at 89k currently and everything is still good.

I agree, (my '92 Accord LX has 220K, still runs like new) I'd run a "high mileage oil" of you are pushing over 100K, but there is no "procedure" for changing to full-synthetic......just make the change.

When I first bought my 94 accord that had 135k miles I changed to Mobil 1 and so far the car runs GREAT.
