What slicl size to use?
what slick size would u guys use if u made 248hp and 171tq. in a car that weighs 2160 with driver?....im not sure if i should use 23 inch or 24.5...ive used both not sure which ones i like...let me know what u guys think

I was making only a little more than that and was pulling 1.6 60's in my 2,000 lb. Civic on 23" M&H's. Switched to 24.5's and my 60's suffered. ITR trans with 4.7 FD.

with the gears you have a 22 will charge harder on the topend. i did my calculations with you shifting around 9k if you shift higher than that definetly go 22's.
its all about how you set the car up. many people will use extra slick to make up for a car not hooking. when in fact its the chassis thats the problem and your just putting a band-aid over the problem. its not something that you can just learn over night either, it took me about 3 yrs worth of tinkering to get where im at now. but i can make a 24.5/7 dead hook with 9 psi and leaving at 7500. with more power and less weight than you.

thats what i thought but a lot of ppl are tellin me with 171 tq. i need 24.5's...but ima try the 24.5's again this fri and see how they work out
