96-98 and 99-00 engine harness
can they be interchanged between cars if using a obd2-obd1 jumper harness?
i know 96-98 and 99-00 are different but just because of the ecu plugs right?
anyone tried this?

when buying an obd2-obd1 harness you have to specify obd2a (96-98) or obd2b (99-00). to make install the easiest, match the harness to the chasis and modify if necessary for the motor.
i have a 96-98 car with a 99-00 b16a2, using the stock harness (ex harness) with a boomslang obd2a-obd2b conversion harness so i can run a p2t and pass inspection.

if your car is a 96-98 u can only use obd2a engine harness if u are using a 99-00 motor u gotta use a 96-98 engine harness which if u need 1 i have 1 and i would trade you for your 99-00 1 lemme know if interested
yea i need a 96-98 manual EX harness but i was checkin to see if the cabin part of the harness was different
id like to use a 99-00 SI wire harness casue its made for DOHC
i know about all the obd2a and B stuff, but i figured onlything different between the harness's were the ecu plugs
