Default #9 On the ecu

I have a zc engine and the engine light is on always. Never turns off. It blinks only a #9 and i cant get it to turn off. It lopes when it idles. It idles really bad and eventually stalls after a few moments. Its an hf wiring harness, im thinking that that is the problem. But im not sure. Does anyone know what this may be? I really need to know. Its been driving me nuts for a while now. I cant sit in traffic without having to keep my foot on the gas. Anyone else ever have this problem? Please send me some answers id appreciate it alot.

check your wiring. something could be loose because mines was. and no its not your hf wiring cuz i have hf wiring hooked up to my zc motor. also i custimize my hf distributor to work with the zc motor and cut the cylinder sensor wire and hooked it up to the stock zc cylinder sensor. i did this cuz i didnt want to spend any money for another distributer.

#9 is crank angle sensor-if you have any service manual it will tell you how to test the distributor(where it is)w/a ohmeter(I believe) for resistance. My manual says replacement of the distributor is your only choice if it fails the test-but if it passes and the problem persists, have a dealer check your distributor.Have you reset your ECU by pulling the under hood hazard fuse for 10 secs, first?

Make sure you didn't flip the two wires that you added on the sensor on the other cam next to the distributor.

I had that very problem, check your timing belt, my temsioner didn't put enough tension on it doing it by the book, had to reset the timing with the cover off and tighten it down then put the cover on. then the crank pully. Sounds like your exhaust cam jumped time and is advanced. Double then triple check the timing belt timing. even 1 tooth off makes a huge difference.
