my friend is having a proffesional do it when he does his motor swap and everything for only $700, but good luck anyways
i say do it.. its easy n ur'll learn alot of stuff about ur car. I did mine last week n my friend is doin his rite now.
yeah, dam~(trying to keep it clean), I didn’t know that there were so many people doing this... where to I find pedals and shifter assemblies?
I am having a professional do it as well, but I’m going to help, (i.e. be a tool gopher with a stupid look on his face)
Also beyond Tranny, Clutch, ECU, Flywheel and pedal/shifter, what else am I forgetting

You need a master cylinder, clutch hose, linkage n hasport mount for the tranny. Cuz auto n 5sp have different mount. Thas all i can think of rite now. But good luck.
Its a cable tranny that should bolt directly to my block and have the same mounts as well i think anyway
could i change it from a cable to a hydro?
should i if that is possible?

I may be a noob... but i knew that. I figured it would be best if i nabbed a tranny off of the same year and model engine as mine
anyway, where do i find the pedal and shifter

Go to a local salvage yard. They should be very cheap there. Pick up all the parts there. Keep in mind that you may need a 5-speed starter. Doing a swap on the 3rd gens, you do.
Here's a quick list off the top of my head for a 5-speed swap for a 3rd gen:
Tranny
Clutch
Flywheel
ECU (optional)
5-speed starter
Upper tranny mount (either fabricated, rewelded, or purchased)
Linkages w/shift lever
Hard lines
Master/slave cylinder
Misc bolts/screws/nuts
Center console (optional)
Cluster (optional)
Intermediary shaft (also called half shaft)
Clutch pedal assembly
Brake pedal assembly (optional)
I think that's it.
