what parts needed for d15z1 minime?
I currently run a stock dpfi d15b2 in my 89 LX. I am upgrading to MPFI that I got from a CRX Si (with PM6 ECU, dizzy, etc.) in a few months.
I'm looking to get a d15z1 head and put it on the d15b2 block. Obviously I'll need to get a new ECU. Will I also need to get a new exhaust manifold, or can i use my exhaust manifold from the d15b2? Will I need to get a new distributor as well, or will the CRX Si distributor work fine? Will the intake mani from the Si work in the d15z1?
Are there any other things I'll need along the way?

If you plan on using the Z1 ecu, you will need to use the Z1 distributor. The Si distributor is not compatible with the Z1 ecu or any other OBD1 ecu. Also, you will need an OBD0-OBD1 wiring conversion harness. The exhaust and intake manifolds will bolt up to the Z1 head. You may need to get a Z1 timing belt as well. You will also need a Z1 headgasket.

Thanks so much for the reply. I'll probably want to get the Z1 ecu, timing belt, and head gasket as you mentioned. finding the ecu could take me a while, but I'm sure one will pop up eventually. The cylinder head I'm looking at has 130k miles on it. When I get it I'll determine if it needs a rebuild or not. I'm sure it couldn't hurt.
Now the odb0->obd1 conversion should be, well, fun... I'm sure it won't be TOO bad.

Very cool.
Since i"ve never worked with VTEC before, I have a question about it. If all I am getting is the head (no intake, etc.) Do I also need to find a vtec solenoid for this engine? Are there any other little things like this that I need?
