Nelson says Englishtown but there /is no guarantee. I can guarantee we will see Nelson for sure in the 2006 season in full force. His car should rock and be consistent as hell with his setup. At least mid sevens.......at least.
I heard Lisa's RWD car will be done first and that they are making over 12HP per C.I. with the 4 Cyl at Rousch. This is less HP than the 6 Cyl. cars but will have a good weight break. We shall see.
When was the last time you talked to him, Ron? A month ago, he was telling me that it would be ready for Moroso... Your info is probably more current, though.
Also, the team website is http://www.driven2win.net

I heard a rumor that she is doing something on her own and not with Nelson, I hear it is a large deal too....

was at the sonoma nhra race and they talked to lisa she lost her deal with hoyos from what they were saying. she was chillin in cruz pedragon's pits learning about the nitro cars.
I have not seen photos of the car but have been talking with Nelson on a weekly basis. Talked to Nelson this morning and he had said that he is trying to get the car to Moroso this weekend to showcase his PROFWD car that anyone can buy. Rolling chassis in about I think 8-12 weeks!......could be earleier than that tho? Just install your motor with motor plate and engine management. He is making it really really affordable to get into PROFWD without any mechanical problems chassis and driveline wise. All the parts are off the shelf and ready to purchase at any time. It is really a cool deal. Nelson and S @ W racecars are building a business plan to be the so to speak the "Jaerry Bickel of PROFWD. Really smart plan and very simple. Especially with the Ecotec program he envisions consumers buying a seven second PROFWD package made easy and affordable to the public. Pretty cool. We should see his Driven to Win car at Moroso. I think he is just waiting for the chassis to come back from powder coat.

Wasn't their talk of John Brown doing the same thing? I am not sure if that is still in the works, but having two different people doing it will really help drive down the costs. I think we are really close to having some good fields with all the cars that are coming.

Ok guys, Nelson has been very busy and as always is doing his very best to help our industry grow. Sport Compact Drag Racing is continuing to evolve and it's great to see that Nelson wants to be a part of it in a big way.
From Nelson:
"The New Spec FWD racecar can also be made with Cobalt, Cavalier, Sunfire, Grand AM, CIVIC, ACCORD, RSX, TSX Bodies, MAZDA 6, and Scion other bodies can be built to fit- Chassis is the same for all, only slight variation in A & B pillar roll bar angle to fit body style. Universal motorplate for any engine combo. Transaxle included is a Driven2Win/Killerbee Racing Products-designed /Mendeola/Donovan/G-Force 4 speed Air-shifted sequential with a Torque Converter instead of a clutch. Car can be staged and will leave on a trans-brake like an automatic and then air shift 2-3-4 sequentially like a PRO/Stock 4 speed. NO clutch tuner needed or adjustment between rounds."
Exciting stuff! Enjoy.
