Default New to Honda-Tech

Sup, my names Justin. I'm interested in getting a turbo hatch but i wanted to hear opinions of people that already own them on power output, torque, drivability, and other facts you think will help my decision. I've driven turbo vw's (mk2 and mk3's), a turbo se-r, 300zx twin turbo, nsx turbo but never a civic turbo and since the nsx turbo would be my choice if i had the money for it i was wondering about other honda cars that are turbo. Let me know your opinions like i said and i'll check bacl later. Thanks all!

they're definetly fun...mine RAN a 13.93 at 103 on 7 psi...but it doesn't run anymore. now it just sits at work punishing me for not tuning it right. reliable...only if you tune it just right

turbo civic are very fun. I had a stock dx automatic which i swapped to 5speed and put in a LS motor with a turbo kit. I loved every minute of it till I wrecked it . Now I have a built lsvtec turbo...even more fun at 14psi.

Welcome!!

I love my turbo civic. With race gas and 400whp its a pretty insane ride. Really redefines the meaning of merging on the freeway. 400whp and a 2300 pound car is just a wicked combination....its stupid stupid fast. Makes my s2000 look like a geo metro.

My only recommendation, tuning is KEY. Ive blown up a few blocks in my time, all which could have been avoided with good tuning. So spend the money on a hondata/neptune/aem ems and have it tuned. Its well worth the investment.

I have 12,000 miles on my current setup, 20psi daily on pump, and 24-25psi on race gas. Its alot of fun!! Although the civic spends 1/2 its time in the garage because im fixing it, or upgrading this, breaking that. Its a never ending money pit...but its well worth it.

I'm a big nissan fan, and I want a old 240sx convertable too. But for that money, you can have a MUCH faster civic.
