severe wheel hop!!! HELP!!!
OK first of all i have done searches and cant find any of them with a viable solution. K here is my setup...
H22A In a Civic hatch
hasport polyurethane motormounts
-GC 500F/600R
-Koni yellow shocks (F halfway up/R turned all the way up)
-Totem traction bars (2 turns of tension)
-16" wheels with Falkien Azenis 215/45/16 run anywhere from 18-22 PSI
-Launch at 2300-2400 feathering
-Accord Type R transmission (helical LSD)
Perhaps I have too much tension on my traction bars and dont let it give??? I still pull 2.109 60 foot times on my Azenis with severe wheel hop and just cant get rid of it. Saying that I run the BFG G force drags and they are very smooth no wheel hop at all (run them about 10-12 PSI). Thinking about fabricated a front mount for the H22 in my Civic?? thoughts??? Anyone have any advice?? Really stumped here.

which direction did you adjust the traction bars? so they push the wheel further back or pull it toward the front? i also recomend "pre-loading" your drive train, so you are not "shocking" the tires.
launch the car higher, its hitting a bogging point and its causung the wheel hop..trying bring it out around 5-6k and slipping the clutch..should take care of that problem...

umm i have bfgs. trying to figure out wheel hop problem on my street tires.

5-6K are u crazy???? the car will sit and smoke the tires for 5 minutes. This is not a B series and this track is very bad. I can break tires loose at idle with a rough engagement. thanks though. the car does spin at 2400 RPM. about 5 feet or so out of the hole. will try higher around 2800 though. thanks for th reply. any more advice possibly?

ok the traction bars are pulling the LCA towards the front of the chassis on positive pressure. As far as preloading I used launch control and generally launch it with the clutch right on the grabbing point. BTW clutch is action 2ks. Is there a better way to preload the drivetrain?

maybe you should incorparate you 2 step into your clutch switch and your e brake, so that when the clutch is down, and the e brake is up, your 2 step will work.
also, you have your traction bars adjusted the wrong way, you need to "push" the lca's toward the rear of the car.

ohh crap my bad about the traction bars... yeah might work on getting my launch control wired up to my ebrake or something.. thanks.
you really should launch higher... just because you launch at 5000rpms dosnt mean you have to be at full throttle. use the clutch to control the wheel spin while just using the gas to hold the rpms constant.
if you have drag radials put those on, normally they dont hop as bad as street tires, especially if you have big rims

i have BFGs and run about 3600 RPM out of the hole and they dont wheel hop at all. Very smooth. As far as launching at 5K well this track is very bad. Its not a track in the states. I can break tires loose at idle with a rough engagement. Last time I went i spun 2nd and 3rd and broke traction in 4th gear and that was on Azenis with only about 180WHP or so. Thanks for the advice!
