Default Prelude meets the blue bottle=)

My buddy is going be picking up his 98 Lude today from the shop with a 70 shot dry setup installed. Here are some pictures that I took last night.....and I'll try to post up more later tonight after the install is all complete. I'll also take videos of some test runs. I'm interested to see how well the msd 2step works.

I know the pics don't show much...but I'll get some more up tonight.

There's no reason to talk **** bro. He made the sign as a joke. I'm not sure as to exactly why/how his motor blew but Marc is no idiot. IM him if you wanna know more about his experience.

Please get those movies up asap. I hope you take them from a bunch of differant views. I would like to see one that shows the speedometer, want to see how fast things rev up and how fast the acceleration is. Get those movies up, I am sure Laughin and I both would really like to see them.

Need movies.. Doesn anyone have a dyno while using nitrous? I have been trying to find one, and all the pics dont work anymore. I would really like to see a dyno of a Lude with nitrous and a progressive controller, power spiking is what gives troubles when shhoting high amounts of nitrous, correct? If the power curve can look similar to that of a turbo, it would be much safer when spraying lots and lots of nitrous. Anyoen have a link of a dyno, any dyno at all?

What is the difference between RPM 2 step rev lim and the RPM max rev lim? I want an upgrade from my MSD 6AL, I figured it'll go nice with my plate system.

I was talking to a mechanic the other day and he said that 2 steps are bad for nitrous cars, but he sorta spoke jibberish and I couldnt follow his explanation (i think he said it would send sparks to the cylinders when there's not fuel or something). Does anyone know why it would be?

The Rev 2 limit is similar to a launch limit and what it actually does is retard your timing at a REV that you chose to aide in better launches. The MAX Rev limit is just that, its like a rev limiter instead it using the ignition..

phew got the lude back last night.... only squeezing 60 initially until next week
All I can say is that all I wanted was the power when I wanted it and nitrous delivered
After 5.5K+ into a turbo setup, no results, then just 1K into this nitrous setup, as fun as turbo can be, I know that my next turbo car is gonna be a car made for it......
I've very happy in my decision to switch to nitrous, especially living in LA with traffic, commuting etc. Power is there at the right times whenever I need it.

I know this is a subjective point of view now, but nitrous is great and is the right choice in terms of value, fun, and flexibility if you want to add power to a daily driver (on a college budget)

I do miss the random fun of the BOV, spooling the turbo, and the uniqueness of having a turbo lude, but not, however, having an unreliable daily driver....

all you people with turbo ludes! good luck, hopefully you'll have more luck than i did

Glad to hear your happy with your setup. I would like to go Turbo, but the cost, and tuning issues have been big factors in decding to go nitrous. Anway, if you can get any movies done, please post them.

On a dry shot do you have to do anything on the fuel side? Does it come with a stronger fuel pump or anything? I'm use to the wet setup.
