You shouldn't have a problem passing if you're getting a USDM. Where in Cali are you?

Yeah I had a JDM H22A in my EG and it cost around $2,000 to smog and get bared. If you get the H22A1 (USDM) then you should be ok. I believe there's only a 10 horse power difference. To bad you are not closer to San Diego I own my own business and we could have gotten you an H22A or H22A1. What kind car is this going into anyways?

Yeah I had a JUN head package and some Teins in mind but that got fucked when the cops showed up at a small local car show. Anyways It took me $2,000, 3 months and 4 extensions from the judges to get it done. All the smog equipment had to be installed. You're gonna smash on people so I would just go with the H22A1 (USDM) to bypass the smog problems. You just gotta decide with the USDM you lose 10 horse power but smogging it will be cake. I've heard some good things about Hmotors and some bad things. Well if you're interested I'll find out a price for you check back later tonight or tomorrow.

Well with mine I needed all the smog equipment, a v8 cat, a couple of sensors, H22 manual ECU, adjust the timing and there's probably a couple other things. It was a hassle doing all that **** but after it was done it was so worth it. Those motors are so strong. I was smashin on people all day long. I looked the prices up for you and I have a H22A (JDM) in stock right now going for $2,200 motor, tranny, ECU. Just go with the JDM you'll be happy.

I would go with jdm, but what about smog? What if i dont pass? I am not worried about the cops pulling me over, i drive slow and my car is basically stock on the outside, i just need to pass smog in may of '06.
