stiff suspension
hi, i have a 97 accord coupe drop with tokico shocks with h&r springs....the suspension is a little stiffer than stock but i really want my suspension to be stiff...i'm talking about STIFF...any suggestions....i would like to keep the tokico shocks becuz they absorb the bumps really good...just need stiff springs
stiff suspension is of no benefit w/o good tires. What Tokico shocks and what H&R springs are you using?
Running really stiff springs is pointless because your shocks aren't valved for it. Stiff suspension attained with spring rates and shock valving. I've sat in cars with really stiff spring rates and the car isn't stiff at all and really bouncy. I have also sat in cars with moderate spring rates but it's bone jarring stiff because of the shock valving.
Hope you realise that stiff suspension and absorbing bumps do not go together.

on that note, the tokico's in question cannot handle "Really STIFF". not only will the car bounce all over the place, the tokicos will blow out in a short while and you'll have to replace them.
