Stock GSR On Crower 3's

Im helping a friend get his car ready for a weekend All motor shoot-out. He doesnt have alot of money to spend so pieces were paired together in an unusual fashon. Kinda like his D15 GSR, HE Stole HIS GSR engine for in his cx.
He is presently running Crower 3's on OEM valvetrain stock compression. I was able to talk him into picking up a set of Eibach valve spings and Crane retainers along with a set of Omni Valves. I know the Mismatch is unwise but these are the parts he was able to come by and have got to be better than OEM valvetrain.
We are trying to raise the compression without ripping the motor down due to time constraints and lack of money. The plan is to mill the head ~.020" install the Omni valves and remove the middle layer of the head gasket. With my calculations this will result in about a 11:1 c/r. Should we have the valve seats and valves cut? Any specific angles?
Any Sugestions?
We're not looking for anything amazing just an improvement on his current time of 14:1 @ 98

to really get the most out of those cams, u need way more than 11:1 compression. those cams (from what i have seen and researched) are good when ur compression is over 12:1. milling it .020 and using a 2 layer HG might u to about 11.7 but no where near the compression u would need to make good power. in this case, pistons will be the key to getting the most out of those cams. also, wat r u using to tune with?? that will also be a factor in getting the most out of any stg2/3 cam out there. good luck.......
milling and a 1 layer HG is ur best bet but the cams u have might hurt u a lil bit. it would benefit u more if u had some ITR cams cuz they would do well with 11.1 (basically stock ITR compression).

I agree these are not the ideal cams but this is what he has for now and all we have to work with. Im not sure a 1 layer head gasket will be a safe alternative for a daily driver. If you have any experance with this please fill me in, I was under the impression you needed the 2 outter layers of the gasket to seal properly.

Went with the Omni Valves, Eibach EVS springs, Crane steel retainers and .030" off of the head.
I retuned the ECU with crome using a JDM P30 base map and adding more fuel with the fuel multiplier option and raising the Vtec to 6k RPM. It ran like crap with the P72 ECU and and th Skank 2 intake manifold, it runs alot better with no holes like the p72 program caused.
Final tuning will be done on thursday and friday with a LM-1 wide band.
Race Day is Friday

who cares what he said.. we know what he meant. i think you will run fine with crower 3's.. they are basically similiar to skunk stage 2's and i've seen stage 2's run on 10.8 cr.. so you should be ok for your friday showdown.. hope you did good
