Default Difference between Dx and Si brakes system??

what is the difference between the 89 Si and the 89 Dx brakes? do they share the same size rotors and calipers? I know the Si has a Different M/C and Prop Valve but is that it or more to it? Help me out!

It should be just the master cylinder. since the 89 si came with drums that year it should be the same as the DX. Caliper, Pads, Rotors are all the same.

i know for a fact that, although the same size, DX & Si have different calipers. Si calipers look like smaller DA calipers, while the DX calipers dont have the big mounting bracket. My 13" diamond racing wheels wouldn't clear Si brakes but cleared DX brakes fine.. the wheels rubbed on the Si caliper because it sticks out farther

hmmm.. this doesn't seem right. I switched my front knuckle assembly on one side, the only difference I noticed was the dust shield was missing on the DX.

I am still going to say the SI and DX are the same besides the dust shield and the brake master cylinder (if we are speaking of 88-89).

And yes Std should be different I believe in size.

They are all the same except for the hf. it has a smaller rotor and caliper. I also believe that the rear drums on the hf's are smaller than the other pre-91 cars.

EDIT. Brembo part numbers on rotors.

89 Si- 45251 SH3 A00
89 Dx- 45251 SH3 A00
89 Hf- 45251 SB2 930 (8.25 instead of the 9.? on the SI?)
89 STD- 45251 SH3 A00
89 Lx- 45251 SH3 A00

Drums

89 Si- 42610 SB2 761
89 Dx- 42610 SB2 761
89 Hf- 42610 SB2 761
89 STD- 42610 SB2 761
89 Lx- 42610 SB2 761

I was wrong about the rears on the HF. Apparently all 88-91 cars used the exact same rear drums, and all used the same front rotors but the hf.
