OBX/MOROSO oil pan on a 5th gen SH?
I bought a turbo kit for my 97' SH and it included an oil pan. I was told it was for a 4th gen prelude. When I looked it seems that they are the same for both 4th and 5th gen ludes.
I just spent all day removing my original one. I had the shiney new OBX, moroso oil pan ready to go with a fresh gasket and came to find that IT DID NOT fit!?! I did a couple searches here but didnt find anything. I did come to find that apparently 5th gens DO NOT use a gasket, but just a sealant.
Anyways I went to put the oil pan up and it seems as if the oil pick up was hitting. The OBX pans have the 'deeper' part divided into two sections, one wide open like the stock one and the other side is enclosed with a flap/baffle. I thinks its made like that to retain oil in case you go around a corner real hard and all oil gets pushed to one side.
Then i also noticed that the part with the drain plug stuck out farther than my stock pan. Even if the oil pick up had clearance it would be blocked by some sort or other unit(ATTS)
Let me know if anyone has any similar experiences or advise.

You know you have to use a new oil pickup for this right? Stock will not work. Go to summit racing and order moroso part # MOR-24012 its going to cost you about $50 bucks. By the way do you have a moroso or an obx? they are from what I read pretty much the same thing. Well other than some quality stuff blah blah blah, dont want to hear the obx rants... If it is an obx what do you think of it thus far? I have read some reviews that say outside of a few minor fitment issues works as well as a moroso with out the near $500 price tag.
