Default b16 tranny or b18c1 tranny???

I have a 94 si w/ a b18b swap. My 3rd gear grinds a bit so im gonna replace it w/ one of these 2 tranny. Which tranny do you all think would be a better choice? Eventually i would like to get into roadracing or auto-x but for the time being it will likely see some time @ the 1/4 track.

GSR. An LS motor is not going to be happy screaming down the freeway for hours on end at close to 5000RPM. If longevity is important to you, then try to keep your revs at sane levels.

Is there anything additionally required when installing a cable B16 trans to a B18b1 (in a '96 DC4) ? new axles or anything else?

If longevity or highway cruising is an issue, you can always replace the b16 5th gear with one from the LS trans.

You know, I just cought this same thing in another thread ( https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1338325 ). It is informative but I really am curious as to the end result of this. Is there anyone here who has any experiance driving a B16 tranny with an LS 5th? Is it truly "like hitting a brick wall?"
