If you don't wanna spend that much and don't really care about CARB #s, just get an ebay one for $30. You could also go to home depot and fabricate your own out of pipes.

i don't understand what type r has to do with the question. if you want a cai that is under 2 bills, ebay is the only answer. i don't know of any quality name brands for under that

im guessing the reason why he is looking for a type r cai is because he has a blox or skunk manifold on right now, you can use an ls cai that will work as well but beware on ebay because they are not 3in, most ive seen are 2.5 or 2.75. I think the only companys that make a 3in is iceman cai and aem.

LS ones will work. iceman is good too because as stated before, it is a 3", but it also tapers down to 2 1/2.

i got mine from ebay but its a short ram and its 3"
anyone that spends more that $100 for a intake that just metal pipe is just wasting money for no apparent reason.
all you got to do is buy a $30 3" intake from ebay and buy a $45.00 3" k&N filter
there are hundreds on ebay all day everyday.
or you can use go to and cheep speed shop or ricer store and they should have it
