Default Steering Wheel Removal. Aftermarket Hub Install. Guide Anywhere

Hey guys

I am finally gonna get around to installing my removable steering wheel hub and wheel.

I have absolutely no idea where to start or any clue how the steering wheel can be removed, I searched but it doesnt seem to be working but Im sure many people have done it before

I just need some tips on how to remove the stocker and install the new one safely and nicely without breaking anything

Hope someone can help me
thanks

It's not that hard really. First just pop out the Honda emblem in the middle of the steering wheel. A small flathead screwdriver will do. Then you will be able to access the 19mm lock nut that holds the steering wheel to the steering column. Undo the nut, and the steering wheel can be removed. Installation of the aftermarket hub is just a reversed procedure of removing the stock steering wheel. Good luck. Also, before you remove the steering wheel, make sure you have the steering wheel straight, so when you install the new hub, it won't cause your steering wheel to be misaligned.

Wouldnt me adding this new removable wheel hub make the wheel sit a few inches closer to me now with the added width...?

Yeah, it's not that hard. It might make the wheel a little closer, all depends on the hub. You can probably try and compare the stock wheel with the aftermarket parts and see how they compare. I have a NRG quick release hub with a Sparco steering wheel and it's not that much closer to me than the stock wheel was.

lol its the easiest job in the world, if u can take off a tire u can do this.

probably easier than taking off a tire since u dont gotta jack the car up

i have a momo hub, with a nrg quick release took less than 15min, i didnt bother with the horn wiring though haha

when you first drive, and go to reach for ur signals ur gonna think "wtf" takes about 20min to get use to.
