rattling in back, suspension?
I just got my car back form the shop and noticed that somehting in the back end of my car is rattling, sounds like the right rear end of the car, im not sure if its the exhaust and theres possibly some bolts loose or its the suspension, but there was nothin wrong at all with the suspension when i took the car in to the shop, im gonna go take a look at it, how would i be able to tell if its the suspension thats bad?
This is so vague.
Does the noise occur during normal driving on flat/smooth roads? On bumps? All the time? During turns? Braking? Accelerating? Under load? Is the sound a rattling or more of a knocking? Does it sound like the "inside" of the car near the hatch area? Or the outside where the suspension components are?

It like a knocking sound, it sounds liek it could be from the hatch but when i roll down the window i can hear it a lot better, it seems to do it over the littlest bumps, not so much just on flat areas on the road
Actually, mine is doing the same thing. Very annoying rattling on small bumps. It sounds like it's coming from the shocks., but my shocks aren't leaking or anything.
I don't think it would be bad shocks or struts, when they're bad they make your car bounce more than usual, and there is no leaking in the rear end of the car, i have no clue what this could be?
I think ive come to a conclusion, i can kind of move the wheel a litlle bit, and i could see that the bolts on the caliper are moving around a little bit, they felt tight enough, im pretty sure this is whats making the noise when i go over the little bumps but im not 100% sure

in my 99 teg i also here a noise that sounds like something is rolling around in my trunk. i took everything out and drove it and it still makes the noise i even replaced the shocks with kyb's and it still makes the noise. i just cant seem to find out what it is. it only does it when i turn. can anybody help me?
mine car is doing that to, not so much now, but it did it alot when i got it back from the shop putting the shocks and springs..its kinda just faded away
alot of time bolts and crap get dropped behind interior paneling and will cause that rolling around noise when turning. as for the squeaking over bumps i would just tighten down every single bolt around the rear section of your car, itll take way less time than trying to figure out exactly where the squeaks are coming from. also if you have a body kit or something it could be your exhaust hitting or vibrating. its way to broad to narrow down.
on a side note, im honored, PureHonda, that you would quote me in your signature
.......and its so true.

i just went back down to the shop where i got my car worked, on since it just started making this noise after they worked on it and they said its the caliper bracket and that its moving a little bit so itll make a noise whenever i go over bump, they say i need new ones but im not about to spend 300 bucks for somehtin i think they did, since it did this before, hopefully i can find a way to fix this
wtf? are they buying you a new caliper? just tighten all the bolts on the caliper and you should be good, unless something is warped and isnt sitting flush... this shop sounds like theyre trying to thunderstick you.
