the dashes are NOT the same, but they should swap back and forth.

ive had 2 hatches with rex dashes.

its a pretty easy/quick install.

things to note:

you wont have the proper VIN on the dash anymore

you will lose your tilt steering, because the dash sits a little lower.

you will have to make the cluster fit, it doesnt directly bolt in, but 2 screws is enough to do it.

you will have to make a brakcet to bolt the lower portion of the center piece (behind the radio) if you want it to actually bolt in at the bottom (but its not really needed)

and last: the CRX dash looks a LOT better!! double din, more storage, and everything is angled at the driver! much more convienent for the radio controls, no need to reach way over!

i love the hatch, and i love the rex dash.. the 2 make a great pair..

im getting ready to do a rex dash on my current hatch pretty soon.. but i gotta do some more body work first.

I attemped to put a 94 civic dash in my crx, only thing holding me back was the place of the ignition.
I had to cut a few things, maybe ill just relocate the ignition.

actually, if you grab that bracket from a crx, it will bolt right up to the hatch body, or at least it did with my hatch.

tilt steering was found in dx's and si's, it might have been an option in hf's and std's, but thte one's i've seen didn't come with it. not too hard to retrofit if you're comfortable working under a dash, though.

to fix the Tilt steering issue get the tilt steeering out of the CRX. then it works with the dash perfectly.

And no need to modify the guage cluster mounting YOU HAVE TO USE brackets from a CRX guage cluster also.

Its a simple bolt in affair, Ive done it to mine and several friends with HB's and Ive got it down to take no longer than 1.5 hrs...with old one out new one in.

And like they said above you must use 2 brackets from the CRX also they are both on the center hump of the vehicle, and they also bolt in.
