Default stupid question, please don't flame me

really simple...

are all strut-tower braces the same? does it matter what brand I buy, or doe they all just do the same thing w/ varying prices?

There are differences as far as materials used, some are stiffer than others, use slightly varying designs....

Even so... DO NOT buy the ebay deals.

I hadn't planned on it. I was just debating between the spoon ones and the dc ones and the mugen ones and the megan ones, etc. As long as they're a respectable brand, they'll pretty much do the same thing?

pretty much. i'd recommend the DC design if you're going for looks, or the Spoon brace if you want a clean look that performs to the max.

Try and get solid bars. Do not invest in ones that have hinges on them. that totally defeats the purpose of trying to stifen up the body. Look into a Password 3point front bar, and really all of passwords bars are great because the are all solid welded bars. Although I do agree that PW bars are a little overpriced...

Out of curiosity, are the 3 point braces better than 2 point?

Listen all these stupid *** nuggets who talk about pivots are just stupid. regardless of the pivots the two sides or the bar are going to remain equidistant, witch is all their for. The Triangulation bar is buy far the best design. not only are we keeping the two towers the same distance apart we are now locking them in to the fire wall to stop them from moving side to side. A three point can kick you out of certain Auto x classes, they work.
