Default my all motor ls/vtec setup

Ive been working on my lsvtec setup for bout 2 months or so.. this is what i have so far.

b18b block
ctr pistons
scat h beam rods

99 b16 head
stock valve train (going to uprade with cams)
stock cams ( not sure which ones to get got any suggestions?)
aebs IM
RS Engineering TB 70mm
prelude obd 1 345 injectors
walbro 255

not sure on headers.. suggestions?


LS cable trans

act 6 puck unsprung

planning to tune with uberdata or chrome

all going into a 91 hf

comments and suggestions are welcome.. thanks guys

nice setup, the omnipower combo with the buddyclub spec 3+ cams is a great deal. get rid of the 70mm tb, its too big. I could understand, 65 maybe 67, but no bigger on an all motor daily driven. Be sure to tune it soon after startup with that high of a comp ratio.

yea the omni and the buddy club is a good combo.. but i want some more aggressive cams not really worried about bottom end.. i want mid range and top end mostly lol like everyone else.. i havent bought the TB yet.. ill probably get a 68 or something.. need more opinions

you know wats good...get the m22's or the m24e's... you dont have to get a tune right after start up.. i still aint get mine set up tuned and i got higher compression

Anyways about your set-up, I would get either some Rocket M22x/skunk 2 Pro series 1 or 2/ or some buddy club 4's, clay the motor to make sure you have enough clearance since the PCT pistons are pretty domey. A valve job and a better header. O and ditch that tranny it sucks. Good luck with the build.

yea i was lookin into rmf header or an-r .. and im trying to get rid of this ls tranny as fast as possible.. its just for now so i can drive it lol im tryin to trade with my friend he has a b16 turbo and he wants longer gears

smsp is out of my price range lol.. under 1000 is what im lookin for and jun 3 cams im keepin my eye on those.. i really like those also.. i wonder if i would have piston to valve clearence
