Default how

when installing the clutch cover, do i leave the shaft that goes down into the cover positioned so the tab on top is at the 9 o'clock position? then hook up the clutch cable? im having trouble putting it back on and i dont know why. oh, and when it does line up and go all the way on (the cover), the tab on the top of the shaft that the cable hooks into wont go forward of the 12 o'clock position. is this right? is it susposed to travel from the 9 to 12 o'clock position while in use? i hope i explained this right.

its on a 03' 600RR
