Intake Manifold Coolant Leakage. How to fix scrapes?
First off, I did do a search. OK so my problem is that I used a chisel to pop some off the stuck gaskets on the intake manifold area. In doing so, I scrapped some of the metal. Is there anything i can do to fill up/repair the scrapes? and what is the best gasket to use in a situation like this? I really need the help cuz the coolant is just leaking every where...hella frustrating u know? thanks for all your inputs, I greatly appreciate any help.
pick up some RTV sealant and fill in the cracks then load up the new gasket and torque everything down. There are different grades of sealant and the main difference is the operating temp of each, i use copper for everything but thats just me. if that doesnt fix it i guess you could try sanding the mating surface down, the trick would be getting it all even so it sits flush... probably not a DIY job unless your that damn cool.
