Well when i start the car when its cold the car will knock for like 5 seconds and then go away. Its not like a rod knock it just a anoying clicking. Any idea what that could be. I can pinpoint the spot besides the motor because it doesnt last very long. Also when its cold before it warms up all the way the idle will surge 200-400 increments until it drops to 800. Any info would be great. Also no engine codes. Thanks for the help.

Yea... I get this werid knocking sound also. It only there during warm-up. Any help would be GREAT! )

 

what kind of oil do you use? Might not be thick enough, so put some Lucas in and should solve your problem

ill try the oil but it doesn't sound like the valves. Its just like a clunking. Anyone else with the same problem!!!

 

Are you running on all cylinders? check the plugs.
