seats
hi guys
i just installed a pair of Recaro SR5's last Thur. and i think they're the same seats as the RSX ones(not 100% sure though with regards to the bolt points of the seats).
but in anyways, you need to make custom brackets for it inorder to have proper fitment. in my case, i have to custom make one. good thing here is that, i did not hack at all the stock OEM rails. it's pure bolt on! i'll posts some pics later on "How To" since it was already late, i was excited, blah blah using the seats and besides, i forgot my damn camera that day when on my way to the shop coz i was late
I'll be taking off those brackets again but only this coming Thur. since i'm busy all week long. i need to paint them actually so i'll be taking some shots before hand. so stay tuned!
basically, it was a pain in the @ss making one. but once we were able to construct the first one, the 2nd took us few minutes to finish. i did help grinding the sharp edges of those metals, lol it was fun, hahaha.
here's the result:
see that piece of metal underneath the seat? - unpainted yet. (left thigh side)

you would not believe it! i have to import the complete EF9 front end parts including all those CF pieces(VIS SIR hood, lip, side skirts) last year all over from PASSWORDJDM upto here in the Middle East. my utmost thanks to both Leo and Steve who have been so helpfull in making my project come to life. But both the seats and the TE's came all over from Phillipines, again through the help of some friends showing me the right direction to a local Recaro distributor and another shop for the rims. it was a very long waiting period(60 days+) for the shipping itself for the seats alone. too much hassles when clearing them off from the local customs. for how much??? the shipping costs as much as the items
