Ahh new rubbers....
Well guys I ran over a nail on the way home through a construction zone last night so i decided that what better time to upgrade my rubber than now, get those crappy dunlop 218's off there and throw some real tires on...
So I went to the shop here that offers amazing prices on new rubbers...
Picked myself up a set of Michelin Pilot Powers....but not before wearing off my old D218's first....

Leaving my tire like this

So the bike is finally done (still want to get some watsen flush mounts) but other than that ive done everything I wanted to the bike...Heres the list..
2004 Suzuki GSX-R 750:
Polished Wheels
Yoshimura RS-3 Stainless Slip-On (welded on)
Stoner Frame Sliders
GSX-R Grips (much nicer than stock j/k)
Polished Bar Ends
Blacked-out Windscreen
Ballistic Motosports Fender Eliminator kit
Amber Flush Mounts in rear
Carbon Fiber Tank Protector
I also removed the 750 stickers from the rear (cleans it up) and the "whisker" stickers from the front headlight
and Michelin Pilots, obviously..
Heres the finished project....I think next bike will be Ducati...we'll see

Thanks guys....

I put 300 miles on em first day...took it easy for first 60 or so....to break em in.
Now I absolutly love them, they warm up faster than the stock 218's they are WAYY more stable at high speeds through corners
I am just wondering sence they seem to be a way softer tire, if they will last anywhere near as long ....I don't really care, they are very very nice tires....Much better than all the other tires ive ever rode...
Id highly recommend them!

damn your bike is clean as hell.. i wish i had one
A ducati is nice. but I dont think id upgrade to a different bike. Id just slap a turbo when I am ready for it.
your bike looks so tight... those polished rims look nice. even w/o the sticker removal it looks tight. why'd you remove them?

Thanks man...
IF I do decide to go with the duck, it won't be because i am upgrading, but switching over to something totally differnt....Ive always been a fan of naked streetbikes and Im thinking of going with a Monster in the Dark, if you know what im saying. I love the rumble of a nice v-twin with a can on er... it will be carbon fiber galore, but time will tell, im still madly in love with this bike, its perfect, havn't found a damn thing i don't like about it, unlike my other bikes which by the second day i was like damn i wish i had something differnt...
As for the sticker removal, I didn't like the splash of "750" on the tail section, the white is a very nice white and I think that removing that splash section on the tail cleaned it up...

Pilot Powers are awesome tires. With them having a harder compound in the middle, it helps guys like me that do some dity riding to keep a nice slight peak in the middle of the tire...making it dip in the corners really nicely.
how much did you pay for your tires? front and both?
I only have 220 mi. on my tires. would you recommend that I change them if I had the money or just wait?

I paid $420 (US) installed for both front and rear, they had to remove my old ones as well...
I would HIGHLY recommend changing them but if you only have 220 miles maybe wait, unless you got the money, in which case its SOOOO much nicer to ride on these bad boys
220 miles in the like 2 weeks youve had your bike?? damn i put that on daily...heh....

wow, all the shops around here are $80-$100 more for re-in-re, and balance of both tires...but yeh both mine were balanced for that price too. And if I had both the tires off my bike like you said it would have been another $40 cheaper...so it all works out..
