wiring ?'s
I am trying to find out, on the 8-pin connector next to the resistor box on a 90 si hatchback, what does the black with yellow stripe wire run, and the solid blue wire run to. I need to find out, cause my car wont start, and these are the only 2 wires disconnected at this time.
I had to re-pin the connector, cause I have an 88 si underdash harness, and a 90 si engine harness. The 88 has a 6 pin connector, and the 90 has an 8 pin connector. The wires I am looking for, is a black wire with a yellow stripe, and a solid blue wire.

much about wiring. Look at
the distributor wiring, then go look at the
distributor wiring diagrams. The
distributor has those colored wires. Why would the
fast idle valve not being
hooked up cause a no spark problem. The wiring
diagrams show that the blue
wire is the tach signal, and the black wire with
yellow stripe goes into the
igniter unit, and it exits with a white wire to the
ECU. Apparently you are
no hot **** at wiring, like you think you are. I
just thought you might
know, because so many people were referring you.</TD></TR></TABLE>
OK, he is right about the coil wire, and the tach signal being those colors. BUT Those are for the fast idle (page 670 of crx worshop manual) valve. He sent me a pic of the 2 mystery wires here...

As you can see that is the drivers side plug and the 2 extra wires ARE the fast idle valve.
And for mr. Hondaracer197791 please never ask me for help ever again!! Sometimes I wonder why I help people here on h-t...
