Okay i have done a search, looked at hybrid tech pages and I still cant figure it out.

Background: 90 CRX SI B16A1 S1 tranny, DC 4-2-1 Header, AEM CAI, Tanabe Racing Medallion. Have had the swap in for about 4 months.

Problem: The car bogs through every gear but ONLY after the car is warmed up. It also "surges" (that's the best I can describe it). When I sit at a light it will surges from roughly 1000-1500 rpm. Also, the spark plugs seemed to be saturated with oil...when I removed them they were pitch black and didnt smell like fuel but oil...

What I have done so far: replaced the TPS, map sensor, ensured O2 sensors were correctly wired and in the correct place, changed spark plugs and checked injectors.

Please help me!!!! I am really frustrated with my car, I feel like driving it off a cliff.

If they are covered in oil, you are getting some blow-by I would guess. Maybe all your rings are bad on the pistons?? Have you done a compression check?

 

There was OIL, i thought it was fuel. A compression check must be done to see what the problem is!!!

 

damn, it they are saturated like that then your rings are nearly gone or you have a blown head gasket.
