Default Anyone Run Rocket Motorsports M22's in a LS Vtec?

At the present I'm runing B16A second Gen Cams, Springs and Retainers in my LS Vtec.
I'm running 11.3:1 Compression and have just purchased RM M22's with their Gen 2 Titanium Springs and Retainers.
I can't wait to see that kind of power we find with hondata after I throw all these goodies in.

They should do quite well.

Most stage 2 cams will work well. I am a firm believer in good head work. Contact RLZ Engineering (MAX_CFM here). He's the king of head porters here.

The car in the vid had a head prepared by me with an excellent valve job. The motor even made good power with GSR cams.

Just make sure you have good parts and tuning to go along with it, and you should see great results.

I didn't want to bore you guys with the full details, but I've rebuilt the bottom end and upgraded a few things. All the usual things that should be done on an LS Vtec have been done, I have not gotten a valve job or had it port and polished. $$$$
However. Adjustable cam gears are something I'm looking into before I throw these M22's in. Is that a good idea, or can my tuner make those adjustments through Hondata tuning?

Looks like th EF had you beat. In the second race it appears that you just kept going after he quit.

The RSX run was rather strange too. In the first run, you are fairly even, then you missed a gear.. The "middle" runs you clearly were able to pull on him, then in the last run it looks more along the lines of what I thought the first race would be.

The dyno video showed us nothing.

More details on your setup please. What were the final dyno number also?

first run against the EF was from LOW mph, he has a 4.9 fd. if you watch Closely you can see he pulls initially, then i start to reel him back in before a car pulls out in front of us.

second run, that was all the way at full throttle, i puled hard on him in the top end.

RSX we were dead even on the first pull, then i mishifted. the rest i walk him pretty easily.

Dyno was just me doing a 9700rpm pull

Block:
B18C1 Gsr Block 81.5mm
B16 Pistons PR3
GSR rods Blanced with ARP 2000Series Rod Bolts
ARP Headstuds
OEM 3 LAyer Headgasket
Crank balanced, pistons Balanced
ACL Bearings
decked .010
11.5:1 compression

Head:
B16 Head 1st Gen Unported, stock valves
Rocket Motorsports M22s
Rocket Motorsports Valvetrain and Retainers
AEBS intake Manifold (Lightly ported by Rocket)
ANR Compact Header with Merge Collector
H22 290cc injectors
B+M FPR

All tuning was OBD0 with a VAFC and Rocket Motorsports ECU Chip. never knew what my timing was at. I was also dropping 12psi in FP in vtec Xover cause my pump failed

I made consistent 187whp, once i made 191whp. Dynojet

not bad for a stock unported head

But is a GSR Block With GSR Crank and Rods Plus a B16A Head really considered an LS Vtec?

OK wow, you must think I'm as stupid as most everyone else.
That was a retorical post to draw attention to something else.
VtecKiDD gave his specs on his engine, and I thought this was a LS Vtec related post, but now I realize he uses M22's and that's where his info fits in.

So I guess your a fan of RM then eh?
I'm going to just throw them in my B16A tomorrow evening, I'll let you know what the results are.
