Center Clock light
99 Accord LX. Is it normal for my center clock light to burn out every few months? I'm already on my 3rd light, and while it doesnt cost me much at 57 cents a pop.. i'm just pissed i have to keep doing it when i havent been in any accidents or hard jolts to screw it up. U think my subwoofer has something to do with it? Anybody else have this prob?
I wouldn't think your subwoofer has anything to do with it because it's all the way in the trunk.....but yeah, 3x does seem highly unreasonable for a clock bulb. Mine's out too.
Yep, it's a real problem. You shouldn't feel lonesome or pregnant. LOL
Be thankful you have an Accord, because on the Odessey the dash has to be removed to replace the bulb....yet it pays the same flatrate. Go figure.
Another bulb problem in the accords is the 'dome' light bulb; if you use a generic bulb from the parts store the plastic housing will melt down. The honda bulb is less wattage therefore less heat. Here's the kicker......Honda bulb is around $4.25 the generic bulbs are 2 for $1
Mr. Honda is probably turning in his grave over this engineering stupidity.

mine went out for the 3rd time on my 01 .. so i dont even bother replacing it anymore.. i heard some people would tap on it and it would come back on.. didnt work for me but its worth a try.

IIRC it's a certain type that only auto parts stores (or even just the Honda dealer) might have. I have seen them on ebay...just type in "accord clock bulb" into your search parameters and it should pop up with at least 3 or more. HTH

Thanks so much for the info on LED type center clock lights.
11 years working at honda dealerships, 1 year working on 'euro imports', starting in on my 11th year working at a Honda independent.
Believe me my friend, if I wanted info on where to find a STOCK bulb, I just pick up a phone and say "get it here".
