Default Trip odometer ??

Well today when I was getting ready to leave for work, I wanted to know how far my new job was from my house. So I got in my car & hit the trip reset button.

Well half way to work I looked to see how far I have went so far & it was still at 0. So I looked at my odometer & noticed that that wasnt moving either.

What could be the problem ???
I tried hitting the reset button a few times & hitting the top of the dash board & still nothing.

Is the D4 light (automatic) or CEL on? If so then I'd say it was the VSS or related connections. If not, I'd say the speedometer head went bad.

Do not do that.

Perhaps the odometer head alone is bad then? Not really sure if the speedo still works

generally speaking teh speedo and the odometer(s) work together...ovbiously something is jammed.....what you legally half to do, regardless of wether you crack it open and try to manually unjam it or even buy a new one, is have the current milege certified. they will put a sticker in your door jam, certifying what milege was on teh car before the changeover, and then generally just reset the odometer. any state certified mechanic can get the sticker and sign off on it for you

I HAVE A 94 ACCORD EX THAT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. I TOOK THE SPEEDO OUT AND FOUND COLD SOLDER JOINTS WHERE THE WIRING PLUGS INTO THE ODOMETER PART OF THE SPEEDO. DID NOT COST ME A DIME TO FIX IT. JUST A FEW HOURS OF MY TIME. GOOD LUCK
